6 June 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of D Day and the beginning of Operation Overlord, the most extensive naval, air and land operation in history.
To mark this historic event, WTC will be joining other town and parish councils across the UK by lighting the beacon on the KGV at 9.15pm on 6 June. Rev Erwin Lammens and the Chair of the Royal British Legion will also be attending and will be saying a few words, along with our mayor.
From 6.30pm there will be a BBQ, drinks and ice creams available or why not bring a picnic and enjoy some 40’s music.
