Advance notice: Traffic signal renewal on Brightlingsea Road / Colchester Road, Wivenhoe

 

We would like to make you aware arrangements are being made to renew the traffic signals located at the junction of Brightlingsea Road / Colchester Road, Wivenhoe. Works are due to start on Monday 4 October 2021 and expected to take approximately five weeks to complete.

 

During the first week an overnight road closure will be required on Brightlingsea Road to allow for work to take place across the carriageway. The road will be closed between the hours of 7pm to 5am.

 

From the week commencing Monday 11 October 2021 the works will be carried out during the day with lane restrictions in place managed by three-way temporary traffic signals to provide a safe working area while operatives are on site.

 

Advance warning notices will be used to advertise the works and there will be a signed diversion route in place during the closure.

 

Residents/Businesses in the immediate vicinity will shortly receive a letter providing further details Example resident letter - Brightlingsea Rd, Wivenhoe.
