PCSO Emma Lea-Wright has been liaising with the Marine Unit in regard to the issues and Antisocial Behaviour that we have had over the summer at the Quay and the reports to herself and complaints that Essex Police received in regard to the Jet Skis.
Below is an update from one of the Sergeants from the Essex Police Marine Unit who has investigated the issues and problems reported.
‘In relation to the incidents at Rowhedge and Wivenhoe earlier this year, 3 jet ski riders have been summonsed to court for breaching the speed limit byelaws and one of the riders has been summonsed to court for 3 common assault offences relating to intentionally spraying water over the occupants of the ferry.’
This is a fantastic update and outcome.
