It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness passed away peacefully on the 9th April in the morning at Windsor Castle.

A national one minute silence will take place at 1500hrs on Saturday 17 April before the funeral begins

The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.

The Queen has approved the Prime Minister’s recommendation that there will be a period of National Mourning beginning on Friday 9 April until Saturday 17 April, the day of the Funeral inclusive
