Poll Clerk Positions during forthcoming Elections

Published: 24th February 2021

Colchester Borough Council are currently looking for casual staff that would like to work for the forthcoming Local & Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner elections this May.

They have confirmed and filled most of the positions, however, they do still require some poll clerks and are also compiling a reserve list.  They need more people to be able to call upon in light of the possibility that higher numbers of staff than usual may not be able to attend on the day.

Anyone interested, and those who would be happy to confirm that they will be available at short notice, would be asked to provide the following information so that they can then proceed to send a MEA request to create a staff account:

  • Name:
  • Address:
  • Postcode:
  • Email:
  • Contact no:
  • Very brief description of any relevant experience
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (birth cert/passport)

If you are interested in working in various positions especially those of Poll clerk in various polling stations on 6 May, please email- townclerk@wivenhoe.gov.uk in the first instance.
