Marine Police Day of Action 29th & 30th April 2017.
The Marine Police have reported that three people were stopped for speeding on the river Colne over this weekend operation, and following a court hearing all pleaded guilty receiving fines between £400 and £1700.
April 2020 Update - Two of our councillors have worked with the marine police, Colchester Borough Council and other bodies to help curb anti-social behaviour on the river, reducing incursions by irresponsibly driven personal water craft, danger to other river users and disturbance to the wild life. The town and borough council are also engaging in future plans for the river now that the borough council have taken back control.
