Wivenhoe Mutual Aid Funds

Published: 22nd July 2021

To apply please email the Town Clerk by 31 August.

Throughout the last 18 months the residents of Wivenhoe were not only generous with their time volunteering to help others, but also with donations to the Wivenhoe Mutual Aid fund which Wivenhoe Town Council administered .

As we cautiously come out of restrictions, Wivenhoe Mutual Aid has been wound down and the fund has a remaining balance in excess of £2000.

We plan to distribute these funds to voluntary groups based in Wivenhoe, particularly those which promote wellbeing.

If you represent or know of a group for which there is a demonstrable need for funds, we would like to hear from you.

There will be limit of £500 per application and the group must have its own bank account.

To apply please email the Town Clerk on townclerk@wivenhoe.gov.uk by 31 August, providing information on the group, how much the group will be applying for,  why the funds are needed, on what the funds will be spent and the group’s bank account details.

All applications will be considered at a meeting of representatives from the council and Wivenhoe Mutual Aid to take place in September.
