Town Clerk’s Report- Full Town Council Meeting 15 November 2021

  1. Staffing: We have a vacancy for a public toilet, office and WLH cleaner. I will be discussing this with the Chair of Personnel. I am conducting staff appraisals this month and working on the manpower budget with Maurice and Emma.

  1. The public consultation for the office and yard redevelopment project has been arranged for Saturday 11 December, 10-1pm in the WLH. The architect is currently working on display board ideas which I will share with everyone.

  1. I have a meeting with Bob Needham on 29 November. He kindly offered to help organise our Jubilee celebrations which will be held in June 2022. Please let me know if you would like to organise any events.

  1. Nick Connell, Wivenhoe Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator, contacted me. Following the recent spate of burglaries and thefts membership of NW has increased and the public have asked with a meeting with the police. I am arranging this for January. I suggest that we tie this in with a recruitment campaign for a Special Constable.

  1. A reminder that the vaccination bus will be back at the WLH on 28 November, 10-3pm.

  1. A reminder that we have a Youth Hub WG meeting on Monday 15 November at 10.30am and a Car Parks WG meeting on Tuesday 16th November at 6.30pm.
