Town Clerk’s Report- Full Town Council Meeting 21 February 2022

1. Staffing:

The vacancy for the pontoon keyholder and cleaner for the public toilets has now been filled.

As Covid restrictions have been lifted all office staff are working in the office.

2. A final reminder for ‘Coffee with Cops’ on 19th February 3-5pm in the WLH. Please attend if you can. This was requested by local residents through our Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator.

3. Applications for the Community Fund have been considered. The applications for the Community Days are being considered at the Estates Committee meeting on 16 February. I will advertise both again as there is funding and some days available in the WLH.

4. A timetable of events for the Queen’s Jubilee weekend in June has been announced on Facebook although the group are still working on the line up for the concert on 2 June. This will be announced soon.

5. I have been working with the Sensory Garden WG on grant applications.

6. The deadline for the Skatepark tender is 1 March.

7. We have a meeting with CBC Markets Team on 16th February regarding setting up a weekly market, with the surveyor regarding the old cemetery wall on 22nd February and with NEPP regarding the car parks on 25th February.

8. As part of my course this year I must attend and observe other parish and town council meetings. I’ll report back on how we compare!
