The Nottage Presents A New Talk By Wivenhoe artist James Dodds.
By popular demand, James Dodds delivers a follow-up to his sold-out talk of last spring, exploring different aspects of his past and current works.
James ranges from being a painter, printmaker, publisher and more recently an author and designer of the stained-glass window in St Marys new annexe. His paintings celebrate the art of the boatbuilder, and his linocuts track the coastal communities that developed the unique shapes of working boats from Shetland to the Isles Of Scilly.
With his wife Catherine and their Jardine Press, he has published books that champion Wivenhoe, its poets, shipbuilders and artists – a selection of which will be on sale at the event.
