Honorary Alderman - Robert Needham

In September 2021 Wivenhoe Town Council voted to confer the title of Honorary Alderman or Alderwoman. Legislation allows for this title to be conferred to persons who have, in the opinion of the council, rendered eminent services to the council as past members of that council.

At our Christmas gathering on 16 December, the Mayor Cllr Tom Kane awarded the first Alderman title and badge to Robert Needham for his services not only to the council, on which he served for 12 Years and was twice Mayor, but also for his services to Wivenhoe.

We know that you would wish to join us in congratulating him.

Thank you Bob!
