I have spoken to the Anglian Water, Network Manager for our area and they have provided a brief update. They are checking the site daily and are also in contact with the woodland ranger.
They intend to set up additional equipment in the woods from Monday, including pumps to allow them to over-pump the sewage around the break in the sewer, and telemetry equipment to remotely monitor levels in the sewer. They will have spare pumps on site in case of breakdown etc, and have plans in place to attend rapidly if needed. They advised that they are reliant on dry weather and flows in the sewer before starting the final repair, but hope to be able to proceed with the permanent repair soon. They said they would send further information to us shortly.
If you notice any pollution from this please call the pollution incident hotline which is available 24/7 on 0800 80 70 60.
