On Thursday 06 February 2025 there will be a by-election for a vacancy in the office of councillor for Wivenhoe Town Council.

Friday 10 January, 4pm-Candidate nomination deadline
Tuesday 21 January, Midnight- Register to vote deadline
Wednesday 22 January, 5pm- Postal vote deadline
Wednesday 29 January, 5pm- Proxy vote deadline
Thursday 06 February- Polling day

Candidate nomination packs for are available from the Electoral Commission.
The window for candidates to submit their nominations will open at 10am on Monday 06 January with a deadline of 4pm on Friday 10 January.
Anyone interested in standing as a candidate is encouraged to register their interest by emailing- elections@colchester.gov.uk.
Nominations must be submitted by hand and a prior appointment should be arranged.
We suggest a copy of your nomination is emailed to the election office for an informal check before formally handing in any nominations.
Polling station
For this election, all those voting in person will need to vote at William Loveless Hall, High Street, Wivenhoe, CO7 9AB.
