Refuse & Recycling

Refuse and recycling collections in the town are provided by Colchester City Council who are also responsible for emptying the litter bins.

If you need recycling supplies, please visit to place an order for collection from WTC Click and Collect recycling cages temporarily located at the front of the William Loveless Hall while the Council Offices are being refurbished. Blue bags for textiles recycling can be ordered from

The Town and City Council recently worked closely together to provide another set of recycling bins on De Vere Lane, to recycle glass facilities. WTC also provides weekly litter picking throughout the year. If there are any areas that you feel need attention, please contact us. We've also installed wheelie bins outside the entrance to the William Loveless Hall car park for residents to drop off plastic items such as pens, biscuits and crisps wrappers for recycling.

£1 Food caddy liners and packs of 50 doggy bags can be purchased from WTC Reception, temporarily housed at the William Loveless Hall lobby on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday between the hours of 9.30am to 12.30 midday.
