Refuse & Recycling

Refuse and recycling collections in the town are provided by Colchester Borough Council who are also responsible for emptying the litter bins.

If you need recycling supplies, please visit www.colchester.gov.uk to place an order for collection from WTC Council Offices click and collect recycling hub in the Council Yard. Blue bags for textiles recycling can be ordered from essextextiles.co.uk.  (we have a limited supply available from the click and collect recycling hub).

The town and borough council recently worked closely together to provide another set of recycling bins on De Vere Lane, to recycle glass facilities. WTC also provides weekly litter picking in the town throughout the year. If there are any areas that you feel need attention, please contact the council offices. We've also installed wheelie bins outside the entrance to the William Loveless for residents to drop off plastic items such as pens, biscuits and crisps wrappers for recycling.

Visit the town council offices to purchase rolls of 26 food caddy liners and packs of 50 doggy bags for £1 each item.
