Please be aware that preparations are being made to carry out works to Alresford Bridge located on B1027 St Osyth Road, Alresford, Tendring.
These will be carried out over two weekends as outlined below, during which time the structure will be fully closed to traffic. This will allow essential maintenance to be carried out safely to the bridge’s soffits, as well as trial hole investigations to the top side of the structure.
Proposed dates/times of road closure (timings may be subject to change):
- From 7am on Saturday 16 November, with the road reopening on Sunday 17 November at 9pm.
- From 7am on Saturday 23 November, with the road reopening on Sunday 24 November at 9pm.
During these times St Osyth Road will be closed between the junction of Coach Road and Wivenhoe Road.
We appreciate these works may cause temporary noise and inconvenience, for which we would like to apologise. Letters are being sent to residents in the vicinity to provide them advance notice.
Dates may be subject to change if the works are affected by poor weather or if unforeseen issues arise. The latest information will be displayed on site signage.
