Colchester Town Crier promotes his City in Yorkshire

Colchester’s Town Crier, Mr Robert Needham carried the name of Colchester to Yorkshire at the week-end.

Competing in the Otley Town Criers Open Competition, Robert proclaimed the virtues of his home City whilst completing the day with a piece centering on the date “On this day, the 17^th of September”.

When the final scores were assessed, Robert was awarded Second place in the overall results. He said. It was great to meet up with Town Crier colleagues and a great result to bring home a trophy in the name of Colchester.
